2014 Update
Hurling: The boys have played 3 games in Roinn C so far against CBS B, Gaelscoil B and De la Salle B. They had comprehensive wins in all games. In the Country Cup, they had a very competitive game against Kilmacow and unfortunately were narrowly defeated.
Camogie: The girls have had a great start to the season with good wins over Ballyragget and Urlingford. Their next game will be against Freshford in two weeks time.
A visit from our local County Champions
The St. Martins minor camogie team visited our school recently after winning the Roinn B championship final. The girls also won the Roinn B league final earlier in the year. A huge achievement!! We were delighted with the opportunity to ask the girls some questions and see the cups they won.
County Semi-Final for the Boys
Our school hurling team gave a brilliant performance in their semi-final and were narrowly defeated by Glenmore.
County Final
Our school Camogie team reached the Roinn B county final this year a great achievement for the girls. They were beaten on the day by Kilmanagh but gave a fantastic display which they can be very proud of.
Update on school teams
Our school hurling and camogie teams have both gotten off to a great start this year. The boys have had three well deserved victories over Canice’s B, Danesfort and Gaelscoil B. The girls also started the season with a comprehensive victory over Paulstown.
Hurling/Camogie Season
Our school hurling and camogie teams are now back training. The children are informed in school about training times and upcoming matches.
A visit from Liam
We had a great day when the Liam McCarthy cup visited the school along with Tommy Walsh and Thomas Breen. They gave us lots of advice on how to improve our skills and become better players and they even left us with some goodies.
Our hurling and camogie league is now finished – the winners were the Red team, with the Green team as runners up. Congratulations!
Here’s a little photo story of events…enjoy!
