Art and Project Work

Despite the cold weather, our Senior Room have been thinking about sunshine and spring flowers and created these lovely watercolours in Art Class

Our Infant Class have also used a Spring theme with their latest art projects – lots of green fields and lambs

Our Middle Room have completed research and art work about the Castlecomer Mines

Finally, for a previous art project, the Senior Room traced the Taj Mahal, using the classroom whiteboard as a guide.  This work needed a lot of pencil shading and was very detailed.  The detail is not easy to see from the pictures but you will see it when the children bring the pictures home.

Kilkenny Music Festival – March 2018

Congratulations to our choir who performed so brilliantly at the Kilkenny Music Festival last weekend.  They won the Brennan Cup for Sacred Music and were runners-up in the Edward Logue Shield.

The adjudicator was so impressed, they have been invited to perform at the Gala Concert next week!  Well done to everyone for their hard work, to Orla and the teachers for all their preparation and practice and to their families who supported them all the way and had them so well turned out on the day.
