Congratulations to our wonderful choir who won the Brennan Family Cup for sacred music at the recent Kilkenny Music Festival. They performed brilliantly on the day. This is a great achievement for a small school choir, so well done to them, to teachers Mrs Drennan, Miss Butler, Mrs Stokes and Mrs Brennan and to music teacher Mrs Orla Phelan.

Before Easter, we all enjoyed a lovely bedtime story night at our school.
Older students read their own books and their younger schoolmates enjoyed stories read by their parents and teachers. We had some lovely refreshments and finished by singing some lullabies with Orla.

Our school Open Night is taking place on Thursday 10th May at 7pm. We will have an expert guest speaker on the night covering the area of Literacy & Numeracy.
There will be performances from each class, including our award winning choir.
All are very welcome, especially parents of children due to start school with us in September 2012.

Congratulations to the under 11 and under 13 teams who took part in the annual Credit Union quiz in Castlecomer recently.
Our under 13 team of Aoife, Katie, Siobhan and Darcy did extremely well and finished in 2nd place – and the good news is that they are all eligible for the same age group next year! Our under 11 team of Joseph, Aaron, Matthew and Kate also did very well against stiff opposition. Well done to the teams and to Mrs Drennan for preparing them so well.
The school was delighted when Fr Delaney invited us to

The ceremony was lovely and we all had a chance to ring the Eucharistic Bell.
We sang, read and carried the banner and played a full
part in the ceremony. Our thanks to Fr Delaney for inviting us to be a part of it.
